Nero is a TV pilot for a one-hour drama that would ideally run for three seasons. I've long held a fascination with the Roman Empire, and I've felt there's been a void in historically accurate stories about Rome since HBO's Rome ended. Nero is my attempt to write a project about Rome that aspires to hit the same standard. The pilot for Nero focuses on a tight 24-hour period around Nero's rise to power. If it were produced, the show would cover his rise, his rule, and his fall.
