Intruder is inspired by the true story of Colonel Kent Bateman, who was awarded the Navy Cross for his actions in Vietnam in 1967. Colonel Bateman was my wife's grandfather, so we wanted to tell his story. This screenplay is the result of first hand accounts and hours of in-depth research. It's the story of a single A6 Intruder mission from start to finish. While other characters are composites, Bateman's character is historically accurate.
