Jefferson is a limited series based on the fascinating life of Thomas Jefferson. The pilot focuses on his early days as a struggling lawyer in colonial Virginia, including the courtship of his beloved wife Martha. The bulk of the series will take place during and after the American Revolution, including Jefferson's two terms as president and his subsequent retirement to Monticello where he founded the University of Virginia.

As a proud graduate of UVA, this has been such a fun project to research and write. I tried to hone in on Jefferson's central contradiction in life, his complex and often hypocritical relationship with slavery.

In my opinion, the only comparable show is JOHN ADAMS (HBO's all time great limited series).
